About Us
Our Background
Shaping Affairs is a non-profit association founded in 2018 in Innsbruck, Austria. It gathers a board sports community of artists and craftsmen, with the goal to support, connect and promote local initiatives through the Alps.
Our Task
Shaping Affairs comes from a unique cultural landscape that is closely linked to a sustainable form of mountain development. The quality label “Made in Artisan” guarantees the local and responsible production according to the highest artisanal quality. It guarantees the use of short supply chains and partnership with the local economic actors. The treasure of conscious manufacturing in the Alps can only be preserved if it can be experienced by consumers. For its members, the cooperative therefore organizes test events with our partners, coordinates producers, continuously develops new products and improves their visibility over media and customer awareness actions.
Our Vision
At Shaping Affairs, we strive to preserve the traditions and know-how of local handmade manufacturing, while also embracing innovation and modern design. The association believes that by working together,
local producers can create a network of handmade alternatives, with a more environmentally and socially responsible approach to the production of snow sports equipment.
